1. Services

cleartools provides web-based tools for informational purposes, including:

• Lease Analyzer — clause-by-clause review of residential lease agreements
• IRS Notice Explainer — plain-English explanations of IRS letters and notices
• USCIS Case Tracker — email alerts based on USCIS published processing times
• Meeting Notes — extraction of action items from meeting notes

3. Accuracy of information

cleartools makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate, up-to-date information. However, laws change, AI outputs may contain errors, and information may be incomplete or incorrect. You use all outputs at your own risk. Always verify important information with a qualified professional and with primary sources (official IRS publications, your state's statutes, USCIS.gov).

4. User accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not share your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Pro plan and payments

Pro features are available as one-time purchases or subscriptions as described on the pricing page. Payments are processed by Stripe. All purchases are subject to our refund policy: if the tool fails to function as described, contact us within 7 days for a full refund. We do not offer refunds for change of mind.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use cleartools to process information on behalf of others without their consent
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or automate access to the tools
• Use the services for any unlawful purpose
• Upload malware, harmful code, or content that violates third-party rights
• Circumvent usage limits through multiple accounts or technical means

7. Intellectual property

cleartools and its content, tools, and branding are owned by us. The AI-generated output you receive from our tools belongs to you — you may use it freely. You retain all rights to documents and text you upload or paste; by using the service, you grant us a limited license to process that content solely for the purpose of generating your result.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

cleartools is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that outputs will be accurate or complete.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, cleartools shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from use of cleartools shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

10. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
